took a walk
« on: March 07, 2009, 03:56:00 PM »
Took my bitch for a ride to the woods to fling some arrows

didnt take long to spot an elusive trophy BUCKet.Put a good stalk on it, got a clear shootin lane and loosed an arrow..

SCORE!!!  just a tad right of the spot I was aiming at.

Note to self. When hunting BUCKets,,,aim low to prevent overpenetration. Its a little hard on the fletches

Trekking thru the woods, I found a good log to take a break on,,,and snap a couple bow shots

Fiddled with the timer (and after several close up shot of my belly) finally got one of those "Hows my form" pics

A little farther into our adventure...We spotted a bedded blue belly creek hugger. I was able to get off a shot undetected,,,but missed a little right

Or did I???

just goes to show you should always follow up on your shots.  Sometimes those misses arent misses at all.

Cool! I mean warm, looks like it warmed up in your neck of the woods, here it was a stifling 60, man it felt HOT. Thanks for the pics.
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish, goes home through the alley.

Dave, GREAT looking dog. I had a brute of a boxer. He was a great friend, his only problem was slobbers. That boy could drool. I had him before I got into archery don't know how he would have been in the woods. I now have a choc. lab and she and I spen a lot of time in the woods together stumpin. John
