Building arrows
« on: March 16, 2007, 01:16:00 PM »
I finally got a bunch of the local boys interested in archery-----a bunch of them bought wheelbows, but it's a start.
Now I have found myself in a situation where I'm the local arrow builder/repairman! LOL, I guess thats the price we pay when we get some guys shooting.
Will Duco cement work for carbon? If not, whats the way to go about glueing fletchings to them? I have already read the thread about doing inserts, and that was VERY helpful.

I can only hope that everyone will switch to trad and I can do wood arrows instead.

 Thanks guys, Jeff

Make them boys buy arrow wraps and fletch over them.  You have to use Fletch-Tite or something other than Duco, but it sure makes repairs and refletching a whole lot easier.  As a bonus, their arrows will look fancy too!
