It's beautiful!

What's it weigh? Macasre Ebony is beautiful wood, but heavy. Just curious.

Fido, it is relatively light for a 3-peice, way lighter than say a widow.  The riser is deceptively slim and the weight is just about right, no way heavy but enough mass to feel stable.  A quick question for other firefly owners:  When strung, do your limbs follow a smooth, continuous arc or is there a very slight "ripple" when viewed from the side?  I could care less because she shoots like a dream, but I'm just curious if your bows are the same.  My brother whose a "widow or bust" guy shot it this afternoon with untuned arrows and was stacking them at 20 yards by his third group.  All he said was "How long was the wait?"

NBK, you can see a few of the unique featurs of Jim's limb design when you look at it just right, they are all like that.  It's a big part of what makes them so smoooooooth.

Jim contacted me and explained that it's a normal part of his design.

As mentioned in this thread earlier I like my firefly so much.  Even though my latest toy - my new Predator recurve - is being shot at the moment, if I had to pick only one keeper it would have to be my firefly.

Jim is the best bowyer I have ever dealt with and nobody even comes close to his personal service.  The bloke is a Christian too and one of the few I know who walks the talk.
