3/8 Ash or Hickory shafting....?
« on: March 12, 2009, 05:02:00 AM »
G'day all,

I'm after some 3/8 ash or if I must use, Hickory shafting. I plan on making some Medieval style arrows as a showcase/display.

Many thanks,

ak.

Morning Al, How many are you looking for? I will see what I have, or can get. I have some friends that play with that stuff all the time.

I have Ash but only in 11/32.  Allegany (arrowswoods.com) carries both Ash and Hickory.
Some 3/8" Ash dowels would be the best bet, but will take a bit to straighten.

Al:
I just bought some old archery stuff and there is several hardwood shafts in it, haven't checked the diameter but they are big. I'll check them and get back to you.
