I'm not sure if this information is still correct, but try this...

Jon Gharing is listed in the following pdf directory. Here's the link:

 http://www.archerysearch.com/blacks/PDF/BowsCustom.pdf

In case you can't pull it up, his contact info was listed as:

Jon Gharing
1658 Creek Rd.
Cooperstown PA 16317
814-678-5233.

When I last talked to him in October of 2007, he told me that he was putting his bow building on hold for a while so he could concentrate on working long hours at his full-time job to get his years in for retirement. Seems to me he said it would take a year or two if all went well, then he hoped to get back into bow building after that. He's a real nice guy to talk to, and his bows were very high quality.  With a little luck, maybe he's back at it by now.

I had an older one and it was a sweet bow to shoot. Static recurve, I would have kept it but the grip didn't quit fit my hand. I talked with him and he had since changed the riser style.

Of all the bows I have had that is one that I would buy again if the riser is shaped a little different.
Was the quietest recurve I have shot as well!
Let me know what he tells you as far as making bow.
I actually tried to look him up last month!

It was 2006 when I had mine.

Talked with Mr Gahring today, he is still on hold with his bow building. He hopes to at some later time get going again. Real nice talking fellow, had a good chat. Ron, thanks for the contact info.
