Great time as usual, good traditional crowd in attandance. Lots of guys converting to trad.
Had a blast, got to announce the new 2009 inductee to the hall of fame of which I founded.. Joe Subolefsky (Timberspirit Recurve Bows fame). Thoroughly enjoyed bringing Migrabill and watching his reaction to winning a hunt, antler lamp, lifetime membership to the MBS, and drinking free beer. It was like a 10 year old kid winning a happy ending from Jessica Alba.
However, i have one complaint! I was assaulted in the mensroom.
About 1:30 after several brewski's, I go to relieve myself. When done i am washing my hands and feet. In behind me, walks in this tall lanky dude with the worst toupee I ever saw. It was matted, greasy, some marginal debris in there as well, and sideways. Like a Trump look. It even had highlights.
He is wearing tan polyester knit pants "high waters" hemmed above the ankle. Cream colored "go-go" boots from the 70's Ala Capt. Kirk style, zipper and all. To set off the ensemble, he had on a gold t-shirt, and white leather jacket, dry rotted. Adorning his large head, was thick gold framed glasses like Don King would wear and he sported a mis-shapen goatee also highlighted.
I would imagine this guy to be about 65 years of age, but again I had been drinking. Nonetheless, he pulls up along side to let it leak when out. From the sleeve of his left arm he is wielding a prosthetic arm. You know the hook and prong type from the 70's. He opens his fly with his good hand and grabs the worm with his hook. I thought I was seeing things...
I had to shake my head as I only had about 10 beers. I look over and shout in total amazement. "dude that is too cool. Gotta get a picture for the site", "Dude i'm Droptine"..with that, he starts wailing and whipping the hook at me, nearly slicing me open with his urine encrusted appendage, cursing %%$#&&^&, f--g Droptine etc." and mumbling "friggin freaks".. and runs out of the bathroom and down the road out front. what the hell...I thought he was part of the gang, the group the Tribe...
2 hours later another odd person strolled in from the street to use the facilities. Then I realize, it is the local homeless sneaking in for some clean living. Oh well. I'll know better next year. I am wearing a catchers face mask.
