ground blinds

I'm in the market for a portable pop up blind and have looked at a couple of models.  I'm concerned with the heighth of some of them.  Should a guy invest the extra money for the blind they call the "recurve" version.  I shoot a 60" Falcon

I have a standard model Double Bull Dark Horse...a 60" recurve or longbow  would be no problem to shoot out of it. The shape of the top makes it seem alot bigger...I have another brand of hub blind that is supposed to be the same size but, the curve of the top makes it a pain to shoot out of.

I wish I could afford the 72 inch tall model.  I'm 6'2" and have to get down on one knee to shoot effectively out of my worn out blind and things have changed since that thing was made.

 I'm 6'7" and I have a DB recuve model. Just bought a Ground Max Vision, and thats 70" tall. By kneeling I can shoot a 60" bow. If you shoot a bow vertical you'll have problems. I cant mine with no problems. The Vision is at least 1/2 the price of the DB.

The prob. I have w/ these "pop blinds" is that you are encased in a cacoon, that to a significant degree seperates you from the outside element which you wish to be in. -- to me they are just portable quasi "living rooms."  What you can do is just carry some camo cloth and a little sting. I use a piece about 3' x 12'-- and quickly make a triangleular blind, by tieing it at a few pts. to trees, saplings, whatever.  Of course, the open end of triangle is downwind side.--which ideally backs up to brush or other cover-- this is not absolutely neccessary, as those downwind deer are going to smell you anyway.  "Be weary, weary, still."  E. Yukon Tracks has a model that's 80" inside, and cheaper than most.

I have been thinking about the Yukon Tracks, how hard are they to set up?

My father (site handle Ponder Top) has a Double Bull T2 for sale.  I dont have the inside height dimension but I can get it.  I also have pictures if you are interested.  The blind fits a 60" recurve nicely and has never been used, not even once.  It has the field carrying case and strap as well.  I think he wants $200 or $220 for it but don't quote me though.  PM me if you are interested.

Don, you mention a yukon tracks blind.  How are they for quality?  I'm pretty rough on stuff and wonder if something for half the price of the competition is going to hold up?  Just a question.  Oh, where can you get them?

ranger i had a differnet yukon blind it was a sintch to put up
