What is a Howard Hill Wapiti? I looked on the Hill website and didn't find it.
He (Jesus Christ) is before all things, and in Him all things hold together (Col. 1:17).

hey old man, check out howardhillshooters.com

they might have something about it. Craig makes a few bows that are more "custom" that aren't in his usual line up.

Where did you see it?

Two possibilities... it isn't a special issue, those we know.  However, there are older models that had other names and don't show up very often, plus, Craig will from time to time build something someone wants and put the name on it they request.  Sometimes these become somewhat popular and other folks request them as well.   An example is the Black Bear... someone asked Craig if he would build a bow with carbon (he hadn't at that point).  They requested a Wesley with black glass and called it the Black Bear.  It got written up on the boards and I immediately called Craig and ordered one, along with a number of other folks.  I got Black Bear #2.   I decided it was too stiff a pull for me and asked for another bow, but didn't want the same thing over again, so I asked him to put the carbon in a Big Five and call it the Black Wolf.  He has since built a number of Black Bears and Black Wolf's, but they have never been in the catalog.  There are other special models.  I've heard of a Black Panther that's special made for a Hill dealer in South America.   There's also the Longbowman's Choice, a special model made for members of the Howard Hill Longbowmen.  I could go on, but you get the idea.

It is most likely named by the customer,Craig will right a name you pick on a bow you would order.I seen a guy that bought I think a Half Breed and had Craig write the name Autumn Whisper where he would normally write Half Breed on the limb.

I would say it is the 2 lams of bamboo + 2 outer lams of Zebrawood combo.
