New RER T/D Recurve
« on: March 18, 2009, 11:13:00 AM »
I have a new RER T/D recurve waiting at The Archery Shop for me to pick it up on Saturday.  I fell in love with the RER Arroyo and decided to buy another RER bow.  I wanted an In Stock bow and after changing my mind a few times, sorry about that Whip, I finally settled on the RER standard T/D recurve in the pics below:\\

The bow is 60" and 48#@28".  The riser is Sapele and Cocobolo and the limbs are Makore with Sapele veneers.

I'll take some additional pics with a white background and post them after I pick up the bow.  The white background should provide a good contrast and enhance the grain in the woods in the bow.

Very nice, Bill. I'd like to hear how it shoots for you when you get a chance. The Arroyo is a excellent bow for sure. I've never had the opportunity to shoot a RER takedown.

Oscar,

I sold an older RER T/D recurve, A Dale Stahl T/D recurve and a Dale Dye T/D recurve in order to buy these two bows new.  The older RER was a great shooting bow.  I expect this one to be a great shooting bow, too.

Joe,

Yes, Kevin and Sue produce some mighty fine recurves.  The 54" Arroyo is like a little rocket launcher.  My 46#@28" Arroyo is getting my 504 gr GrizzlyStik Sitkas downrange very quickly and they pack a punch when they get there.  I expect the T/D will have similar speed and will deliver a similar punch.

RER takedowns are an excellent bow. At Denton Hill last year, I had the opportunity to shoot one.  Quick and smooth shooting. Enjoy!

Glad it made it there Bill - I think you are going to like it!  And thanks everyone for the kind words.

I've been adding bows from time to time to the ad in the Sponsor Classifieds - check back often for new listings.

I do plan to try to list even more as we go.  Still need to work on a better way to list the in stock inventory, but for now the Sponsor Classifieds or shooting me a PM or email is the best way to check.

I picked up the RER T/D recurve at The Archery Shop today.  It is really a gorgeous bow. The pics posted above don't do the bow especially the veneers on the limbs, justice.  I was surprised by one thing, the riser is heavy in mass weight.  I consider that a plus for shooting purposes.  Just like the Arroyo it is fast, it's quiet and it shoots where you're looking.
