My wife is setting right here and saying to tell her not to be so hard on her self. Arrows are cheap and having fun with the hubbie and kids is priceless. I tell her to move up and take easier shots and then when she is better to back up with the rest of ya. If the bow is to much for her she will struggle with holding at anchor. Stick with it and good luck....

Thanks for all the Advice guys.  Some points were touched that are true.. SHE DREADS the THOUGHT of LOSING arrows. And I think that puts her form on the back burner..Wondering where the arrow is going to FLY and get lost..It doesnt help that those who set up the targets Put them infront of the River or swamps where the arrows are impossible to get at.. Then when an arrow misses its spot...It's gone..that  plays a big part for every archer...

My wife shoots in our Tuesday Trad league every week. We have several women shooters and its not really competitive just a lot of fun. Thats really what its all about! My wife outshoots many of the men in the league but its the idea of making it fun. We change the distance and the difficulty of the shot (kneeling, sitting and turn around,) on every station. When we first started the league the women shooters numbered two. Now we have five shooters. Try not to make it very competitive. Try to attend some of the larger rendezvous and she will meet other women shooters. I started by introducing my wife to traditional archery 10 years ago at the Whittingham shoot in New Jersey and then later that year at the ETAR (Eastern Traditional Archery Rendezvous.

Best of luck to you both!

If at all possible go to a few of the larger shoots that have women and pair up with another couple.
