Get a blind the two of you can sit in and you'll be better off and more likely to succeed.

How about some sizes. I also think you would have more action and fun in a blind.  But I would not use a jake decoy and I would probably put a 5"x5" peice of yellow material on the sides of the blind.  And I would stay off the public ground that turkey hunting can be dangerous.  With a little scouting you could set up some brush blinds on the edge of the fields and just drape a piece of camo burlap or cheap camo fabric inside to help hide anything the brush won't hide. I'm sure someone with kids will help with the clothes but if for some reason you don't get what you need P.M. me and I will be glad to help you. You guys have fun out there.  Take a camera.

I put my kid in a xl camo shirt with a head net when he was six for deer hunting. but for turkey you better have a blind.I just dont see ya pullin it off other wise.unless your gun huntin if you want a shirt an a head net p.m me with your addresse and I will give you the items at no cost.I under stand you wanting him by your side.I would not have it any other way.my son is my no.1 hunting partner an we do good takeing game together.

Teach your six year old that sitting still is important, and that you can't always buy a solution to every issue.  Get a gray sweathirt that will fit him and throw it in a tub of rit dye to darken it, then draw a few angled lines on it with a wide, black marker.

Your son will have a ball whether or not a turkey kill is involved, and he will learn more about turkeys and hunting by being out there with dad, taking in what nature has to offer.
