I'll tell ya what I did. I needed some weight up front on my aluminums, so I took some .257 caliber 87 grain bullets, that I still had from my reloading days, and used some hotmelt on one and put it inside the business end of my arrow. Then, before it cooled, I put my insert in behind the bullet with some hotmelt and let it cool for several minutes, and Viola! Added weight for a weaker spined arrow! Got this idea from a fellow Trad Ganger. You can use smaller weight bullets from .224 caliber and you can buy a whole box of bullets for not too much money. Works great for me.
