Just put in an order for some Brown Bears...they just look too good! I like the weight too. When the wife says "why are buying more broadheads?" I can tell her it's all because of you guys!   :biglaugh:

On the Abowyer website, the picture of the Brown Bear says the head is 2 3/4" long, but the drawing of all the broadheads shown together, and the drawing has to be enlarged, lists the Brown Bear as 2 5/8" long. Which is the correct length?

Not sure if you are talking about the bonehead or large bone head....but if I had a choice just for deer, I'd choose the large bonehead.

I've killed a ton of whitetails with wide heads, and that would be my choice....the wider of the two....now if you want both...then shoot the longer/wider wapiti.  Whitetails are easy to blow through, so I like to slice and dice as much as I can and don't use narrow heads on them as the wide ones blow through them as well and do more damage.

I shot a nice hog with the Large Bonehead last week and blew through it like it was made of paper.

Huey, luckily I did take some close ups.

Entrance

Exit

The entrance hole was slightly larger/wider than the exit.

I don't see a 135gr. head on their site. Are you guys talking about the 145"s? Do these heads actually weigh what their advertised weight is?

I think that the bonehead is now offered in 145.  The 135 is no more if I'm not mistaken.

2 5/8" is 95.5% of 2 3/4" (2 6/8" actually).  If your draw length is consistent to the eighth of an inch, I still would not worry if the broadhead was 2 5/8" vs. 2 6/8".  Next you'll be telling me there is a difference if they have a weight difference of 5 grains...
