Val was a participant at many of the Traditional Archery shoots over the years, having success at many of them. The "Muzzy" Shoot (one of the premier competitive Traditional archery shoots in the nation held in Catskills Mtn's of NY put on by MUZZY Co.),Long Island NY Traditional Shoot as well as Forksville,Pa Archery Fest (longest running shoot in the country)he loved the Timed Clay Pigeon Bustin event those are just a few of the many he enjoyed.
Val was a talented bowmaker both laminated longbows & recurves as well as Self-bow making ans especially shooting them.
He was one of FRED BEAR's & BEAR ARCHERY's greatest fans...............more to come.

I met Val at your first Buckhorn Shoot Tom and that was a good 15 years or so ago. Val was a real good guy who always had a smile, a good story and always went out of his way to help fellow archers and aspiring bowyers..
He also made one heck of a nice "Branch Bow" too! Remember that Tom?
I'm saddened to learn of his passing and will truely miss his presence..
