Never Ever cut until you verify with point weight that they are indeed too weak for the point weight you want to shoot. For example, if you want to shoot 145gr heads, if they indicate weak with 145's, perfect with 125's, and stiff with 100's, then you cut. Overly stiff arrows can show a weak indication. Failure to verify with point weight will make matters worse and you can't fix it once you cut....O.L.
