Black Swan, Morrison Shawnee, ACS-CX

I like the looks of a 3pc LB. Out of the 3 which one has the least amout of hand shock of any kind.
 I know they all shoot good or everyone wouldn't be buying them. How they shoot is not what I am after, just how much hand shock  they have. I have arthritis in both hands wrist and elbows.

How they fell after the shot is what I am looking for. I hope to get some good  answers. Thanks for any input.

My opinion....I've shot all three and still own two of the three, the ACS is by far the smoothest...not close.

Virtually none on the ACS-CX.  Especially if you go with the metal riser (I've had both metal and wood risers).  Can't comment on the Black Swan, never shot one.  I have owned a Morrison Cheyenne (recurve) with foam limbs and the hand shock on it was pretty much non existent as well.

My Morrison is probably the smoothest shooting longbow I have. I've never shot an ACS-CX but, I also have a Swan 3pc that I just got and will be shooting it tomorrow. I test fired it tonight and it is extremely fast but, not as smooth as my Morrison.

You are setting yourself up for a tough choice. I have owned Morrisons and currently only shoot ACS CX's. But I would not hesitate to own another Morrison-Bob makes an excellent product. I have never shot a Swan-but the ACS would be tough to beat.
Spend a week with each and then decide. I'm sure you can arm wrestle the sellers to work with you.
Heavy arrows and thin strings will help your arthritis a lot.

Thanks for the input I appreciate it. I did shoot a BW LB last year and the hand shock was just a little vib/thump, very comfortable for me to shoot. I just like the looks of the 3pc.

I do own 2 LBs, a JD Berry and Green Mountin but they are too much weight, so I just might have to sell them and buy myself a new/used LB. Thanks again.

Shot all three, owned all three, ACS is fastest and smoothest of them all...  Get all three and try them for yourself.  Big plus is the ACS is the quietest of the bunch.

I've owned all three also including the newest available of the bunch. You can't go wrong with any of them. The speeds are close, for me the Swans are quietest, but it isn't difficult to get any of them there. Work with brace height and arrow weight and any of the three can be dead in the hand. You need to find what fits you best.

speaking strictly hand shock, the shawnee has just a slight thump/vibe, a little more with bamboo cores and a little less with foam cores.  The swan and acs are both all but void of any shock.

I will say this, string silencers and arrow weight play a big part in how much hand shock any bow has.

I am very aware of any handshock.I usually shoot a massive metal target riser.The ACS aluminum riser has no handshock that I could tell on a 50 lb bow.By comparison it makes the Widow PL feel very shocky.I can't say about the other two bows.

I haven't shot the Black Swan yet, but I own the Morrison and ACS and both of them are very impressive bows. David Knipes probably knows this group of three bows better than anyone. I would trust his judgment!
