Footing Trad Lites with section of St. Epic

I got some old broken 340 St Epic shafts and it fits perfectly inside the front of AD Trad Lites. If I add say a little over 4 inches of it for an extra 40 Grains and some reinforcement up front will it do anything negative to the overall spine or flight of the arrow? I figure if I do this and leave them about 32" long I will have a good weight for my 45# bow.
