Another vote for the Chinook. Mine is 50@29" I draw 29.75" smooth all the way back and then some. I've been shooting 30.75" easton axis 340 nanos with 300g up front, basically goes through my layered foam target. Very forgiving, very smooth, very fast, and quite quiet. Mine has a bacote riser with quilted myrtle limbs that have a color tone to the like of english walnut.

If you can wait there is a traditional shoot in Coon Rapids/Andover Fathers Day Weekend. Bowmakers will be there including Holm Made Bows, RER Bows, Kota and a few other with vendors that have more. Might try the Rochester, MN shoot May 16th and 17th might be a few bow makers there too.
Best to shoot a few to find one that you like for fit and form. Good Luck!

Not a 50's style, but a black swan is fast and quiet.
I'll second the whisperstick and check out a kohannah kurve.

If you are looking for a 50s style in a 3 pc, take a look at our Orion curve. I think you will be surprised.
