Didja ever just feel icky about using less than wood arrows?

Dangit, I am going on a shoot with the boys this weekend with my new bow, and my new arrows are not coming till next week. I have been building some aluminums for the occasion, and I am sure they will shoot just fine, however I feel like I am betraying myself shooting a selfbow with aluminiums.......weird, I guess.
I just feel wrong is all.

Having shot them since you were about one, I feel fairly comfortable with them. There is a certain security in dealing with a known quantity, marked on the side of the shaft. I love my woods, but use my loonies too. To each his own.

Self bows with loonyum? Well, none of my furniture matches either!

Sounds like something I keep doing too, with custom and self bows - woods, canes, carbons, and Alu-min-i-mums (the most I guess).
