Bow refinishing Question
«
on:
May 06, 2009, 12:08:00 PM »
I have a older Robertson Styckbow, that is losing its finish. What would be the best way to refinish?
I was thinking of a light sanding of 220, then spray with Deft.
Any suggestions??

bowdoc,
Where would one find Birchwood&Casey tru oil gun stock finish? Is this a spray?
Should I still lightly rough up, with 220 before I spray?
Thanks

The stuff in the bottle isn't as easy to apply as the stuff in the spray can. It works just as well, it just takes more patience and practice to apply.
