I learned my lesson early on, all of my DBs are RECURVE models now.  I shoot recurves and longbows 60-68"

Double Bull Recurve here...they are really a nice upgrade.  If you're already going to spend the money on a Double Bull then save a touch more and get the "Recurve" addition.

Just my 2 cents...

I have the Dark Horse in the recurve with the carbon poles and I love it. I also shoot a 62" bow. It is easy to set up in light or the dark contrary to what some have posted here.

Although you can shoot the 62" bow out of the standard model, the extra room is nice in the recurve model.  And if you ever get a 64" or 66" bow, you will definately be happy you spent the extra money on it.

I wish I'd bought the recurve model, as I end up taking a spade with me and digging a square hole in the ground in the center of the blind to make room for my bottom limb.  Pain in the rear.

I have killed deer out of my DB with a 66" hill bow, it's just the standard model. The recurve model would be a nicer but not necessary.
