Your never too late. Congratulations on the tenacity to stay interested. There is lots of good info on this site and many people with decades of experience. Check out the different forumns and don't be shy about asking questions.
Several people from Europe are members and seen posting here quite often.
If, and when, you decide to acquire a bow be sure and put the "Macho Feelings" aside. Depending on your stature and size, besure not to over bow yourself on your first one. Many folks here including myself will tell you that over and over.
I would suggest nothing above 40# and quite possibly less, as you need to develop correct form and confidence first of all. A bow that is too heavy will cause many bad habbits to develop right off and they very hard to overcome. They can also cause one to loose faith in ever being able to enjoy the pleasure of what your doing. Let your skills improve and your confidence soar and soon you can move up to a bow of true Hunting weight. [ there are usually minimum weight limits set by the country or state in which you may choose to hunt.]
Another suggestion, would be to place a post here in this forumn asking if there are other traditionl archers in or near where you live. I think you may be surprised at how many that might be. They, being close, could be a fountain of help and be able to answer many questions you may have.
Welcome aboard..hold on tight!... your starting a long wonderful trip.
