DAYONE FLEECE

Thought I would throw this subject out there since I also have been researching info about their wool and graywolf wool.  Anyone here use dayone fleece products and if so could you comment on your experiences with it.  How has the fabric held up, is the lined and unlined products quiet, also seem-stitching quality.  Thanks.

I did and liked the wool better. It's not a polar fleece type fabric like I expected more like a felt.

The wool is more durable, softer color tones, warmer etc.  

Were I'd get the fleece is for next to skin, not outer layer IMO

I have two fleece jackets, one pull over, one parka. Both lined with windstopper. The parka also with thinsulate.
Very light, very quiet, very windproof, probably not as warm as the wool, but I do stay warm in Dec. in Mi with proper layering.
The fleece is quite water resistant. I have been in light showers for a entire morning and not gotten wet underneath.
My parka is apx. 10 yrs. old still looks great, no stitching problems.
The wool from Dayone does have softer tones, esp. in the ASAT patterns.
My buddy has the pants and parka in wool ASAT, very nice, he loves it.
I don't think you can go wrong with either wool or fleece.
Just make sure you order with plenty of lead time.

Thanks for your input, I have heard so many poor things about dayone camo not lasting due to camo fading, poor stitching, and poor turnaround time.  It is nice to hear both sides of the arguement and to hear their garments lasting 10 years for some individuals.


Please continue any and all input about dayone fleece.

I have both Dayone and Gray Wolf.  I agree with others- both are quality products though my story with Dayone is similar to others-service is not their strong suit.

I have a Northwoods button up jacket in wool- though it is not "custom", it is probably the best piece of clothing I own.  Don't pass up their Northwoods products-incredible quality.

I wish Graywolf did the ASAT.

Given my experience, the water "experiment," and other factors mentioned here- I think Gray Wolf gets a solid "A" while Dayone gets a "B".

I've worn this Day One Fleece Pull over ALOT in the last 5 years.  It's still in great shape and warm.  The only thing is I wish I would have got the full zipper as pull overs are tough to put on over a lot of long underwear.
Kevgsp, are you sure the felt like product you spoke of isn't their Wolfskin?  Mine isn't anything like felt.

I am on my second day one pullover in fleece. The first I had for about three years till I out grew it (getting old n fat)and gave it to my nephew, and the second(bigger)one I've had for about three also. Both are predator grey and neither had any fading problems,both are well made. I wash them in cold on gentle with my wool and hang dry like the wool. I do cut off the useless "bino strap" from the chest as it does catch a bowstring once in a while.

I have the Dayone Fleece parka and bibs in ASAT.  They are insulated with the windproof lining.  I looked at the wool, but I did not want to mess around with the care issues that woold brought.

I wore this suit the last two Decembers for archery hunting here in Michigan.  The suit is almost too warm, and I would not recommend walking very far with the suit on.

The quality of the garments so far is AWESOME and I will order more from them.
