elevated rest, cushion plunger ,vanes?

Im curious to hear about experience using elevated rests,cushion plungers,and vanes.Should you use blazers or 4"chers.Any input appreciated!

All that stuff works,plungers and elevated reat are very very tuneable. As far as vanes almost all can be made to work...even feathers..lol. Try it you may like it!!

I am a big fan of using elevated rests. I prefer the simple CenterRest Flipper. It doesn't have the fine tuning adjustment of a plunger but it works for me. I find a rest is more forgiving of minor form mistakes and allows me to get a better tuned arrow.

I also shoot vanes. I switched this past winter after hunting season. I'm shooting the Blazer vanes and, to be totally honest, I have found them to be every bit as accurate as longer 4-5" feathers. I feel the stiffness of the vane coupled with the height negates the shortness of the vane. I like the quietness, weather resistance, and flatter trajectory. The last is simply a bonus. I shoot at longer distances (40+ yds) on a regular basis and can see a difference. For hunting that isn't a huge factor but I'll take a flatter trajectory if I can get it. For those quick shots that don't give you time to set up I feel a flat arrow is a good thing.

The only thing I've found shooting Blazer vanes is to make sure you are getting good clearance. The high profile may hit on the riser/ rest if not tuned well.

rests and plungers are awesome.  tuning and fine tuning becomes much easier.  arrow flight off an elevated rest is better than it is off the shelf plain and simple.  many will argue that, but that has been my experience.  i have bows set-up both ways and enjoy all of them.  if you are seeking absolute peek performance give them a try.  i have no experience with vanes.

I'm shooting a Flipper II rest on my Titan, I'm just getting some arrows together with vanes, I'm going to try 4" parabolic 4 fletch, but I'll experiment with other combos including Blazers.

I've been shooting 4" vanes, ARE magnetic rest, and DAS Shorty plunger for hunting for a while now. I have had no problems in the field with my gear, and enjoy awesome arrow flight. No experience with blazer vanes, but have been thinking about giving them a try.....Tony

I have been a big fan of Flex Fletch Vanes for 15+ years. great colors, lower profile, tuff vane. I just ordered a Dalaa (big savings going on) and like the options it offers.

I just put a couple arrows together for my 46# @28" Titan, GT3555's cut to 29.5 with a 50gr brass insert. I tried 3 four inch parabolic vanes and also four Fletch, both fly the same so I'll stick with the three Fletch, I shot both field points and broadheads, they flew the same, I guess I can't ask any more than that. I'm going to like the weather resistance of this setup, I haven't tried a plunger yet I'm just using a Flipper II and a felt chair leg pad cut in half, at this point I see no need for a plunger.
