St. Judes auction pictures????
« on: May 16, 2009, 11:48:00 PM »
Ok, this ain't the St Judes forum but I think this is the place that will get the most notice.  I gotta ask a bunch of you guys what's up with the oversized pictures for the St. Judes auction items?????  At least, I assume that is the problem.

I've been browsing the St Judes forums a bit and have been aggravated by the number of posts with no pictures.  It appears that those with no pics have been "edited/deleted" by moderators so I can only assume they were all oversized pictures.

In the past, there have been a LOT of posts about keeping pictures below 640 pixels wide so we all should know that rule... and photobucket will resize them for ya easily.

If you want to sell your items at good prices for this good cause, ya gotta have good pictures that are within the size limits for the forum!!!!

The first time I got on that part of the forum, I thought that ALL pictures had been deleted.  Finally, the next day I decided to click on some more and found that most actually had pictures but the first day I must have looked at 8 or 10 posts and NONE had pictures.  I actually gave up on looking that first day figuring what's the point.  One that comes to mind is one for a Meucci pool cue.  I'd sure like to see a pic of that one (hint hint....)

So..... check your posts, resize your pics if needed.  PLEASE!!!!!  I wanna see stuff before I bid.
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

HA!

What are the odds that the first guy to read this and post is the one with the pool cue for sale????

I'll be patient but I've got a coworker in the market for a cue and HE's the one wanting to see pics.  I've got an old Schon cue that's my baby.

Dave...ALL the posts have been edited....with a bid forum number delegation in the title, and then moved to the proper bid forum.  No pics were removed for being oversized and even oversized ones were left alone.

There's even 2 items on page 4 that I have open waiting on pics that haven't been moved yet.

AAAAHHH, the edits were for forum numbers...

Didn't think of that.  I just ass-u-me'd (Ya know what that old line is about right?) it was for oversize pics as I saw it on all the ones with no pictures.

Ok then.  I'll just keep checking back.  I know I'm seeing a lot fewer posts without pictures now.  Thanks for the info Terry.

You're right about the pics though, Dave, the items on St Jude's will sell a lot higher and make more money for the kids with pics on each item.....Common guys......
