Whitebuffalo...that brings back memories of my kids when they were younger. GOOD stuff!
Last nite I took my 11 year old son Trey, who is slightly physically challenged out and let him learn on a 15 pound glass bow; almost brought tears to my eyes when he smiled broadly and big eyed and said " Dad, I HIT IT!" you live for days like that...
After I came out my 16 year old daughter Kayla, who is very dear to me, but has been wandering down the wrong path as of late; asked me to string her little sinew-backed, rattler backed hickroy bow .
Not expecting alot because she hasn't picked it up since last spring and it is a very stout little bow; I was shocked when she was nailing the bull from 25 yards away!( not on every shot mind you)
But I was beaming with as much pride as she was when she was hitting it. Archery has the ability to help families bond, I hope more people will give it a try.

I have a 3-month old girl who will learn to outshoot me, should she choose.  She'll be raised on trout, serf perch, bunnies and (if lucky) deer, for sure!
I am in the process of making my first self-bow for my 5 year-old nephew.  He will surely hunt with me.

I've got 5, I take them all, they all have bows and many are on their second or third bow due to the fact they are eating me out of house and home and growing all the time.

My 13 year old son killed his first deer ever, with a bow this year, while I was able to watch a short distance away.  Simply awesome experience!

i have been taking my sons, all 3 of them, hunting with me.  i take 1 of them each year on a hunting trip some where. that's my youngest son Wes with my warthog (avatar) on our trip last year.

we used to have all the neighborhood kids in the back yard shooting the bows, but now that the county where i live has outlawed shooting archery in a residential area i am looking for some land so we can resume the afternoon sessions.

"Dad, I need to sit down I'm shaking to bad" my 12 year old son the first time he shot at a deer with his bow.

I include a few hundred kids in fishing and hunting every year. I was just asked to apply for the state hunter education training program coordinator. I was honored to be asked, but it isn't possible for me at this time.

Cool, story Big Dog,

What I love most about being in a group of folks like all of yourselfs is that all of us are giving back in one way or another to someone or something.
To all of you God bless.
