Hope is visiting Ray -- want to come?

I got word on Tuesday that I have been selected to carry the new Rover Girl "Hope" (for the 2010 St. Jude's Auction) for the month of June.  For those of you that missed the post, that would be from Dryad Bows, and she's a beauty.

I've had a trip planned to Ray Hammond's place for a couple of months, so Hope will get to chase those South Carolina Hogs first out of the box.  I'm gonna see if I can make her a killer.

I've got a friend driving down with me from here in Kentucky but Ray says there are still openings.  We'll be there June 26th through 28th.  June 22 is supposed to be the dark moon, so the lunar cycle should be good for that week.  If anyone wants to meet us down there, you can chase hogs with us as well as having a chance to shoot "Hope".  Anybody in the KY/TN area that wants to tag along -- I can probably even squeeze another person into the old Jeep with us.

I'm really looking forward to the hunt as well as meeting Ray.  Should be a blast.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Hope, but the auction should be your priority right now.  Don't stop working on that to ship her.  I can be patient.

I'm assuming that since I am getting Hope in June I got early notification.  They are giving everyone a month this time (according to the original post) so there is still time to get the word out.

The auction has to be a terrible drain on time, so they are very busy right now handling all of that.

Congrats on getting Hope.  I hope you enjoy the bow!!  It sure is a good looker and I am sure an even better shooter.  I had a chance to spend some time at a bow build/hog hunt with Mike and Jason and shoot a couple of their all wood bows - winners for sure.  

I am just acting like a kid at Christmas wondering if Santa is going to bring me anything other than the usual lump of coal and onion.  

I hope the edit function is back up soon. I really do know how to spell, just posted before proof reading.

Yeah - you could say that I am excited.  Plan to bloody that bad girl up!!  Pitty the critter that gets in Hope's way!!  As long as I do my part I know she will do hers.

I'm hoping to beat you to it Rick!!!  I'm sure there will be a sticky post up top for Hope's adventures during the year.

I'll make sure I post up there to keep everybody updated on which arrows she likes, etc.....

But, anybody that wants to come meet her at Ray's is welcome.
