Prime Time for Dirt Pigs!
« on: May 28, 2009, 09:15:00 PM »
I live for this time of the year!

From Memorial Day to July 4th is the best time to bowhunt groundhogs here in PA. The young earthlings are out anytime of the day and the big old boars will be gorging themselves in the late afternoon.

I just got my 5th one of the Spring this evening with my early 70's Grizzly. It was a big bugger that was napping on top of a round bale. I got up to 18yd and when it stirred I let a Hilbre tipped cedar fly and knocked it off the bale! The pig was not happy at all, so I gave it another one. Both arrows snapped as it bulled its way down the hole. Wow! Was that cool!

It is not fair to have a cool story and no pics  :goldtooth:

Well if someone wants to rent a backhoe to dig him up I could take a few photos.
