Make sure you and the other shooters bring the lightest bow you have, it will help a whole lot.

Joe will see rapid improvement with his shooting simply because he doesn't have years of poor habits ingrained into his shot.

Light draw weight bows are very helpful in learning good solid archery form, because you may be using different muscles than you normally use....after a short period most can work back to their normal draw weight.

Just finished up my last day with Rod and i would give it two thumbs up. All the things he showed and explained to me he did in a way that was very easy to understand even for me. I would also like to thank Rod for making me fill so comfortable and a part of. Also for helping me get my bow set up and finally finding the perfect arrow. Thanks again.

Joe,  In a few weeks or months you will be even happier with the results than you are this weekend. Rod has a knack for coaching and is a great guy to learn from.

Yea i got to have one of them. I hate to admit it but i enjoyed shooting it more than my new ACS. I love the elavated rest on the Dalaa and how its so easy to tune. To be fair though it was 5 lbs lighter than my ACS and it was easy to hold while i was working on my form. Plus i was really tired from shooting. I love my ACS and im sure after i shoot it for a while and get comfortable with my new shooting style i will do fine. Im not going to try to buy a game so to speak but i have got to have one.lol  :scared:

Now Joe, don't talk so loud...that ACS might be listening!  Heck, after shooting that light weight Dalaa that ACS is going perform for you like you won't believe. It'll be like jumping on the back of a wild stallon that is raring to go at your command!  :biglaugh:

When I called to talk with Rod today he was teaching a lesson. After he was through he called me back and I told him I really wished I was there for some lessons too. I am going to try to schedule that in the near future. Besides being a great shot, Rod is a wonderful guy and a superb communicator. He also produces terrific products, many of which I own and use.

Yea i bought one of his Safari Tuff bow cases and i really like it. I was afraid that someone with his credentials might have one of those big egos but Rod is a real humble guy. I hope i get to work with him again someday.

JV125,
Most often guys who have gone the distance and been great achievers aren't the ones with big egos. Or at least that's what I've found in my limited experience...
     Good luck with your shooting.

Joe Van,

Sorry I interrupted your lesson with my call to Rod. I just bought a couple of his Gazelle two piece longbow takedown cases and he is sending them out to me. I have a couple of the Rhino cases, an Arrowmaster and a fletching cover already. Everything Rod does is first class -- just like the man himself!
