Who makes a good broadhead that will fit well on a 5/16 wood shaft? No less than 125 grains.

Howard Hill 2-blades are 145 grains.
The Zwickey Black Diamond broadheads are 115 grains, a little less in weight than you want though.

Actually,SS, you can use any broadhead you want. Having it be a little oversize only makes it a stronger junction. I have used a lot of 5/16 woods over the years and have NEVER had an issue with using regular 11/32 heads. They will mount and function just fine. I don't even have problems pulling them from targets.

That's a good question Brandon. I've got hold of a dozen 5/16 compressed ramin shafts and am lookin' for "the right broadhead" also.

Yep. Fletcher is right. Been doing that for years with some Sweetland forgewoods. Ashby's research shows that a shaft diameter smaller than the broadhead ferrule is one factor that increases penetration in critters.

MC, I think you're gonna like those squished ramins. Are they from Kerry Gesink?

My barrel tapered ash were 5/16 on the point end and I used both 125 gr Zwickeys and 160 gr Snuffers. I liked the fact they slid up higher on the shaft and the fit was tight. You can get Zwickeys in 5/16 but not in 125 grains

Now that I remember it, MC, it was me. Must be later that it seems.
