If anyone was watching the bidding on the St Judes Shell/tippit knife & sheath, I promised an addition knife to use for gettin' bloody. No sense usin' an expensive one if you don't have to
I just sent this pm to George the high bidder
"George,
I will send this three finger hunter/skinner as you additional working St Judes blade. It is seven inches OAL, same 5160 high carbon steel as the St Judes blade, and the handle is curly eucalyptus with a finger groove...RH only
I did not pin the handle but I have drilled out holes in the tang. If for some reason the scales start to come unglued, just send it back. I can x ray the blade to see where I need to put in pins. The eucalyptus looks three dimensional with more curl than most curly maple...just didn't want to ruin the appearance with pins.
Hope you like both blades...I know you'll love Shell's sheath...Doc
Since this is a St Judes project, I thought it would be appropriate to post a picture of that knife on PowWow. If not the mods can move it or delete it...Doc
