Grizzly finished weight

I have no experience with the grizzly's and am curious on the finished weight after sharpening.  Say I want a 250 gr. head.  Would  a 160 gr. grizzly and a 100 gr. adapter work out to be pretty close?

Yes, a 160 grizzly with a 100 gr adaptor would be very close to 260 gr actually.

After sharpening or just put together?  I am wondering what they actually weigh out of the package and how much they loose on average from the first sharpening.

There won't be enough difference for you (or anything you shoot) to notice. Just get them scary sharp and go to work.

I have found that the 150's actually are 155 gr after sharpening. They come a bit bulked up and heavy but some material is removed. The 190's come in at 180, as of the last batch I did. I am going to do another dz and think they will be closer to 190 as they weigh about 200 or 205 from the factory.

Sharpened and assembled.  They typically weigh a little more to allow for sharpening.

And....you will put a few grains back on with the glue.

I have 190 grizzlys, after sharpening they weigh 175 gr ,  like terry says you put glue on and your back in the park again! But 15 gr difference isn't that much,at least i'm not good enough to notice 15 grs!!

Hey Bobby, it is a great little bow, really flings an arrow.  Did not get a chance at a bear or turkey this spring with it, maybe this fall though.  Thank you by the way!

Depending on how aggressive you get with sharpening, I'd expect to lose at least 10-15 grains of weight from sharpening.  Grizzlies tend to start out heavy anyway, so in the end I'd not worry about it.  Sharpen and shoot.
