refreshing bowyer
« on: June 15, 2009, 09:34:00 PM »
Just spent the weekend at Cloverdale beside a great guy and bowyer! I was there last year, and hadn't been since 1996 as a dealer.  I met a gentleman named Scott Haney from Ohio.I have been a big fan of John McCullough and Gene McGlashen's bows for many years! If your looking for a Grumley style or bamboo or hickory backed bow with umpff, Scott is the man! John's not building them anymore, I have one of his last bbo bows. Gene I here is starting up, good to hear! If your looking for this type, Scott is a talented man, and plays a mean harmonica! Good shootin, Steve. Oh by the way, McCullough, McGlashen, McQueen, any Irish links?

Not sure about Mr.McQueen but the other two lean more toward the scottish side of things. I am pretty sure Gene Will be at the Great lakes longbow invitational in Aug.
