How about this arrow?

What do you guys think of this setup for penetration:
510 gr. arrow (10.1 gpi)
175 gr. up front
14.5 FOC
I'll let you know on velocity when I get a new battery for the chrono. I'll probably go with a woodsman broadhead.
How much would I gain my adding weight tubes? Would it help to stuff the first 6 or 8 inches of shaft with say an 8 gpi tube and then for the rest of the arrow use 3 gpi? Has anyone done this before?

Did you mean GPP on that 10.1? That would mean your shooting around 50 lbs. Unless you have perfect arrow flight I'd try to lighten it up some and I wouldn't use a Woodsman. I shoot 51 and the big Snuffer - whitetails are toast.
The quality is gone from the old WW and they were too narrow to begin with (for whitetails). Look at the thread on the new ones and tell me you'd risk that kind of money on a whistling BH.

it's all about personal perspectives and it's all good. i find exactly the opposite and definitely prefer woodsmans to snuffers. lost a hog to a snuffer that was delivered right in the boiler room - my recent hog was dead meat in a few minutes with a wensel (and nope, they sure don't whistle for me). don't like the ww elites - too small, and they do whistle in my testing.
anyhoo, it looked like 10gpi (grains per inch) and not gpp (grains per pound), either is fine. :D
