near lawton,ok.The family and I will be there the end of the month. My son graduates basic training from Ft. Sill on the 3 of July.

Are there any opportunities to hog hunt around there?

No pigs when I was there from 93-99. If nothing else visit the Wichita mountains behind Ft Sill.  You will see elk, deer, buffalo and various other game.  Do not speed through the park because you will get a ticket.  Be prepared to wait for a herd to take it's time moseying across the road.

I know how you feel about your son. Congradulations to both him and his family.  Mine finished basic a month ago. (AF) The pride I felt can't be described.  His mother and I both retired from active duty AF and I guess he decided to continue the family tradition.

we had a place out of anadarko year before last that we were bird hunting, and we took several hogs in the creek bottoms. its not that far from there if I remember right.
