Hog/Javelina hunting in Texas
« on: June 27, 2009, 09:35:00 PM »
Well we just booked our annual fishing trip for 2010. Last year we fished Falcon Lake in Zapata and hunted javies with Alex Gutierrez (aka: gatorgar). We had a blast!!! They don't get much better than Texas folks. Always get treated good down there. Hopefully I can repay the favor if he comes to Ohio for a whitetail hunt this fall. Anyhow we booked a different lake in Texas this year and are looking for a place to hog/javie hunt. Not looking for a handout, just a place to hunt. Will pay any respective fees. We are fishing Choke Canyon Reservoir. Are there any Trad gangers in the area who could offer up your services? There will be 4-trad shooters total. Please PM me any names, numbers, emails, etc. of local guides/farms. Thanks for your help.

BTW- We will be there around the last 10 days of March. I have the exact dates at home.

Leatherneck, try Gerald at mesquite bowhunting .com. He has a hunting operation in Pearsal, think it is less than 2 hrs from choke but I don't remember for sure. He likes to bowfish and use to have a boat and offer some bowfishing but quite a couple of years ago. He is not a member of tradgang but I think some people here have hunted with him in the past. you can give him a cal (830-334-3138) or send him an e-mail to see what you can work out.

Thanks scram1, I'll give him a buzz. But it might be a little far of a drive for an afternoon of hog hunting. looking for something a little closer. I'll buzz him anyhow. Thanks.

Try Curtis Keller @ 7th age bowhunting. He does some great hog and javie hunts and bowfishing also.

What Nakohe said, we are hunting JAVS/HOGS near Midland TX around the first of the year and he has openings.
