Weight tube problems!!
«

Got some weight tubes from 3 rivers (3gpi) put them in my ICS hunters. everything is great till I go stump shooting. Every time I hit anything remotely hard the Freakin nocks go a flyin!!!
Is it possible to glue the tubes in? Anybody else have a problem like this?

The tubes have to fit perfectly, no space between the insert and the inside of the nock or they blow the nocks off all the time, glue may do the trick, never tried that myself.

I weighted some arrows once with 20 awg wire, had the same result. Kind of what Dano said, make sure there is no space for the tube to "recoil" on impact. I filled the gap I had with the stuffing from a pillow.

I've had the same problem. You can either glue the nock in with a dab of superglue, or put a little super glue along the nock end of the weight tube. That should fix it.

You could probably wrap them with plastic wrap or put about three sets of electrical tape (front, center, and rear) to make them a snug fit. That way you could take them out if you ever wanted to.

I just glued the nocks in. Not like I want 'em moving anyway...

This is why I switched to brass inserts.
No more problems.
