I do somewhat the same, sometimes selecting based on the weight of the bow as well. Use a relatively short recurve out of a blind for turkeys. Generally use a 64-inch hybrid for ground and treestand hunting for deer. Use its big brother, heavier poundage, for elk. Take out my Hill bows for easy carrying and fast shooting on small game and occasionally for deer. Not crazy at all. Folks use different shotguns for targets vs upland birds vs ducks for example, different rifles for woodchucks and coyotes vs deer vs moose. Makes sense to do the same with bows.
