I have had good results with the Eclipse four blades. Two years ago I used them to take three deer, shooting them with a 60# Robertson recurve and a 57# selfbow. You would probably get the same arrow speed from your glass bows that I get from that that 58# selfbow. The arrows used were Grizzly Stick Sitka’s (1) from the Robertson with a 40 grain aluminum adaptor and footed hex pine shafts from the self bow (2). Twice the broadheads/arrows came out the off side, stopping at the fletching on the near side (Robertson & selfbow), and once the arrow passed completely through (selfbow). The Eclipse are a lot harder/tougher then the Magnus I four blades but take a lot longer to initially sharpen too. This year I will be using them from my 52# glass R/D longbow shooting Raptor Signature carbons, footed hex pines, and/or AD Trad Heavies, for deer, elk, and antelope. For the carbons I will use a 100 grain steel adaptor. If my arrows are well tuned and I put the arrow where it belongs there hasn’t been any need to worry about penetration or the blood trail. The buck I shot two years ago made it 150 yards at a dead run and left a blood trail three feet wide on both sides of his tracks; I could have followed it at a dead run (pun intended) without breaking stride. I didn’t use the Eclipse last season because I was unable to get them to fly well enough out of a new/different selfbow and the footed hex pines I already had.
