Longbow string?
« on: July 06, 2009, 06:00:00 PM »
I use to have some links to people that made custom flemished longbow strings.  Well none of the links work some reason.  I am looking to get some new strings, but have no one to ask.  Could someone please point me in a good direction?

Thanks,

Ron

You should try making your own!  I just started by using the 3Rivers video on making flemish strings... it is much easier than you think and kinda fun!  You have to make or buy a jig, get some string, and check out the video... you can also search online.  I found a ton of resources out there.  The first string took me about 3 hours to make... b/c I did it wrong a couple of times.  THen I got it and now it takes now more than 1/2 hour to make a string!  Try it out!!
God Bless,
Erik

I made 4 last night...as mrpenguin stated it will take you a couple before you come up with a system to get them how you want them.  If I'm on my game I can make 3 an hour.

What are you looking for?
