Zebra longbows?

Anyone remember these bows? Had one along time ago - 15 years or so ago and it is the one bow I regret selling. I picked it up and while I shot it pretty well it was still too much weight (68). Just saw an old ad for zebra LBs got me wondering if anyone had one on here. Like alot of choices I made at 18 LOL  :knothead:  !! wish I could take em back. HAH

Yep, it was one of the first trad bows I shot. It wasn't mine but I remember it well.

The ones Louie made were nice bows! I've never shot one of the Duncan bows so I can't answer for those. Would like to have another myself someday!

Buddy of mine has an eighty pounder that I'm sure he would part with if you decide you want another one. Probably hasn't been shot since shortly after he bought it new twenty some years ago for some reason.

Jack eight sounds like a killer - but no way I can deal with it! The one I had was a Duncan bow and it was nice. looking something in the 55-60 range if I got one.

Yup, I think he realized he had a wall hanger shortly after he bought it. Not too many people looking for an eighty pound bow now days.

I remember one in a local shop about 15 years ago, was there on consignment for sale.
    66" and 98# @ 28" took two of us to string it with a stringer.

    The older gentelman that owned the bow walked in one day picked it up off the rack strung it and proceeded to draw it like it was 50 pounds.
   Nice bow!

I myself wouldn't mind finding one in the 50-60 pound range as well. My buddy Fletcher has one that is really nice. Flint

I've got a Louis Armbruster Grevy model, my first longbow. 63#,matter Of fact I just strung her up the other day and ran a few arrows through it. What a great bow, don't think I could find a reason to part with it.

I also have a Grevy 57# @ 28. Five beautiful laminations of various woods and a smoooooooth draw. I've had it for about 25 years now.

Buddy of mine had one of Louie's bows and it was sweet. I remember it being mid 70 + pounds and that the grip was sharp making repeatability easy. I wish I could talk him out of it. Hmmm I wonder what he would take for it?

I spoke with Louie about a week ago.  He's living down in Arizona.  I had a couple of bow making questions to ask him.   Neat old guy!
