Morrison ILF Recurve Advice
« on: July 09, 2009, 07:30:00 PM »
I am getting a ILF recurve and i have a 30in draw. Bobs 18in riser with his longest recurve D-limbs makes a 62in bow. I was wondering if any of you with a 30in draw were shooting this set up. Also is anyone shooting his 64in recurve, let me know how you guys like what your shooting.

I don't draw that far, However I'm getting to know Bob pretty well via the phone.  He's a great guy and takes his business very seriously. If you check his web site. He supplies very good tables suggesting draw weights verus bow lengths.  I would take his advise as these bows have been tested extensively and recommended draw weights are listed accordingly.

By the way, I just ordered a new set of his Dakota LB limbs to fit my "A" [short riser] Cheyenne last night by phone.  He reccomended either "C" or "D" limbs making a 58" or 60" bow on my riser.  I'm going with the "D" limbs. As I prefer 60" bows [ I draw 28 1/2" ]

Give him a call, he's real good at answering questions.

You'll have no worries. I shot the same set-up though I liked a higher brace than he recommended.
