OK. I am about ready to try out the Eclipse Broadheads. I have been trying as many as I can (Muzzy Phantoms, Woodsman, G5, Muzzy MX-3, etc...) and it seems the Eclipse are probably the best out there. I've read the factory tour piece by David Peterson in "Traditional Bowhunter", the Ashby reports, the website, and several threads on tradgang.
Since I am looking for a bh that has at least 1 1/8" diameter hole, 3 or more blades, and weighs about 150 grs, is American made, and meticulously constructed, the Eclipse fits the bill. I considered single bevel, but am predominantly a white tale and turkey hunter, so bone is not a huge issue for me (no elk, moose, or African game). That said I am open to opinions on that... although my biggest concern is good blood trails and big hole for a quick, clean kills.
What I am curious about is experiences other have had with this broadhead? What were the blood trails like? Are the bleeders worth the extra expense? And MOST IMPORTANTLY, were they able to be precisely aligned on the screw in adaptor and HOW were you able to get that alignment?
Thanks everyone!!
