4 Blade Zwickey No Mercy questions
« on: July 13, 2009, 07:18:00 PM »
Would my true angle hones work OK to sharpen the 4 blade Zwickey No Mercy heads? I'm using aluminum arrows these days and I use the "same weight" as converta bushing glue in BHA's for mounting points (these seem to be pretty short on the nose end). If I decided to use a 4 blade Zwickey will the opening/gap that the bleeder style Zwickey's have cause any problems?

The True Angle hones will work well.  The bleeder slides in the channel and doesn't touch anything.  Sharpen those separately with a file or by drawing them backward against one side of the True Angle.  You will need to take some of the steel off the bevel in the triple laminated area with a file before working them on the stones.

Orion, Thank you for the information. Since the included angle of the point is different I wasn't sure if my tru angle hones would work.
