My ex bro-in-law has been wanting to get into trad shooting for a bit now and he has finally taken the jump. Since you folks have been so helpful to me for so long maybe you can help me help him. He just bought a PSE Seqouia longbow 55 lbs.@ 28 he should be about 28 to 29 inch draw. He will be shooting standard inserts and a 125 grain tip for starters.I have never shot a longbow and dont know how big a difference between a longbow and a recurve. What I am looking for is some starting suggestions for arrows, aluminum and carbon. He is trying to keep cost down till he gets his feet wet to decide whether he wants to stick with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated by him and my self and who know we may get a new Trad Gang member so he can ask his own questions.

2016, 500s, 35/55 these should put him in the ballpark.

55# can be heavy for someone just starting.

Thanks for the help vermonster. I dont think the weight will be a problem he is a pretty large fellow like myself. He shoots 80 lbs. in a compound bow so maybe he wont have a problem if he does I have a 45 lb. recurve he can get warmed up on. Thanks again.
