tradganger elk hunt 2010 (update)
« on: July 17, 2009, 01:16:00 PM »
i hope this does not happen but there is legislation in oregon to raise out of state otc elk/deer tags drastically next year.i contacted odfw and was told that it was unknown yet as to wheather it passed or not.hope this does not trash our hunt as a large majority of the hunters including myself are from out of state.i'll pay but not everyone who travels long distances will be so willing is my guess.

I'm there with bells and whistles on.  But I'll take them off when we actually hunt.

ODFW must have gotten wind of your efforts and decided SOMEONE should make some more money out of events like this!

2 more months Larry-------hope you can handle an easterner walking around looking at the scenery and wondering how he's ever gonna put an arrow into a horse w/antlers with a "discount" bow............  :bigsmyl:

It's so hot and humid here right now, I can't even think about hiking/hunting----I'm shooting in the shade and drinking lemonade!  :bigsmyl:

I hope they don't get to crazy on us! I'm looking forward to sharing this hunt with fellow Trad Gang members and hearing about the hunting in different areas.

Hey Larry, what's our current count right now?

around 20....i have heard they were pushing for doubling the tag prices for non residents but i cannot imagine them trying that one on us...i can see a 25% increase though which would be around 100.00 more for the elk tag.hope not but i am braced for it.i'm picking up tags and licenses on the 24th ben...i'm ready to hunt some elk man...more than ready

Stupid question, what do we need to do to get a tag and license in 2010 for this trip.  I'm not too late am I ?  It was my impression that we could buy over the counter or at least over the internet.  Thanks

You can get your license up to the day before season starts over the counter or online .Bill
