Wife's new Arrows-----
« on: July 20, 2009, 06:06:00 PM »
So the other day, my wife, 5 yr. old daughter and I went out and spent 2 hours picking blackberries and ended up with about a 1 gal. bucket full.

After talking the wife into making a cobbler, i decided to fletch up some new arrows for her bow.
I started with pre-finished Chundoo shafts from Twig Archery. Next came some patriotic wraps from "Onestringer". She wanted some color and picked the orange and chartruese; when she wasn't looking, I did 1 with the white and patriotic cock feather. After she saw that one, she changed her mind and wanted the rest to look like that   :smileystooges:
The 3 turkey feather arrows are my first flu-flu/squirrel arrows for my 45 # long-bow I recently finished:

Ben
M.O.A.B  54# Thunderstick
Ancient Spirits 62# "Thunderhawk"
Browning Wasp 45#

"VEGETARIAN"----Old Indian word for "BAD HUNTER".

Arrows...cobbler...arrows...cobbler...
Good deal, Ben! Looks like a happy family, all around!

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
