I just received my new Marriah Thermal from Ric.  He used Ziricote and Bocote in the riser with Yew accents and the limbs are Yew with Bocote wedges and Bocote and Ziricote limb pads.  The Ziricote is gorgeous.  It almost looks iridescent as it reflects the light.  The piece of Bocote he chose to go with it is quite dark, too, and they make quite a combination.  It will make for natural camouflage in the woods.  I'll try to get some pics of the bow up tomorrow.  It is 60" and 46#@28".  Sweet, sweet bow.

Izzy- Brian makes the very durable TallTines bows in his shop in Iowa. He is just starting out selling to the public, although he has made many bows for friends previously. As far as I know, no one has done a draw force of efficience test on them. The closes refrence is Steve's independent test.
Based on this thread I changed my riser combination to highly figured bubinga and zircote. I think I will stay with the waterfall bubinga veneers though, since I plan to use veneers cut from the same stock on my own one-piece I'm building. Brian is a great guy and he should have a bow he built for Biggie Hoffman going out the door soon, so we will get some better feed back on longer models (64"). I odered a 64" myself. For more information just PM Talltines tg member # 5473 for details. Mike

Another thing about Brian, he ordered a Primal Drerams armguard from me two days before he was going on a grizzly bear hunt. I said, "You're going it prety close aren't you?" His reply was, "You think that's bad, finish is still wet on the bow I just made for my self to hunt with." He took the bow and the arm and a few days into the hunt Brian took the grizzly pictured in his Avatar. Cool guy! Unlike me, he always remains calm. Ha! Mike
