Bear Paw Fletching Jig - Hints & Tips?
« on: July 30, 2009, 09:30:00 PM »
I bought a Bear Paw Fletching Jig (Left Helical) a while back, It seems pretty straight forward, but the directions don't tell you much.

Anybody have any experience, hints or tips regarding this jig?

Appreciate any feedback.
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

I agree the directions are sparse. However, I think the jig is very straightforward and I have been getting way better results from it than from any others (including the Bitz) with far less fooling around. I think, loosen everything up, put a feather in the clamp and get it where you want it, then retighten and you should be good to go from there on out. It's bigger than I thought it would be.....
