I really like the checkering, doesn't add bulk to the grip. But will help your hand to lock in.Ed

You made the right choice, IMHO.  Dave does some very nice checkering and not only does it look great, but it feels good too!  Money well spent.  It really makes a great grip even better.

The checkered grip is good to look at and really bonds your hand to his bows. I wish all bows had it. The ridges are sharp and you'll feel them at first but they'll smooth out quickly so don't let that bother you.

My Tip doesn't have it and I'm pondering sending it in to get it done.

Steve - Is that a special checkering job or standard?

TJ,

That is standard checkering, but I added the carving so my Tip would be special...
